Waiting for Water in Saudi Arabia

Three days.

That’s how long some residents of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s second-largest city, must wait for water. In this city of nearly 3.4 million people, water is delivered by the National Water Company via water tankers.

Poor infrastructure and mismanagement has prevented the water tankers from making timely deliveries, leaving residents waiting many hours and up to several days for water.
